Verification

Why everyone on Validus is verified

How verification works, what it protects against, and how your information is handled.

The premise

Validus is a credence-based nexus for founders, funders, family offices, and responsible business leaders. Credence is the premise, not a feature: when you reach someone here, you are reaching a real, verified person — not a profile, a pseudonym, or a bot.

That is only possible because verification is mandatory and applied evenly. Every member completes it before gaining access. This is what "100% verified" means in practice — every member, every time, with no exceptions and no way to bypass it.

What verification protects against

A network is only as trustworthy as its weakest point of entry. Mandatory verification removes the failure modes that erode trust elsewhere:

Remove these, and the basic questions that slow most networking disappear. You do not have to establish whether someone is who they claim to be — that work is already done. Conversations begin from trust, not suspicion.

  • Bots and automated accounts
  • Fake, duplicate, or multiple profiles
  • Impersonation and identity fraud
  • Misinformation and disinformation
  • Scams and bad-faith actors

How it works

Verification is conducted independently by trusted third-party providers used across regulated banking and finance. The process takes place on their side, under their security and compliance. Validus receives confirmation that a member is verified; it does not directly access or store your personal and financial data. Your verification details remain confidential at every stage.

Verification requires credible, verifiable information. Where the information provided cannot be verified, the system will not allow a member to proceed. This is deliberate. The standard is what gives the network its value — and it is held for everyone, without exception.

Identity is the baseline

Every member verifies their identity to gain access. Verification of assets or organizations applies separately, as members progress to higher standings. It is never a condition of entry. For most members, verification confirms identity and nothing more.

Verified is not exposed

Verification confirms who you are; it does not publish it. You decide what appears on your profile and what remains private. Your verification details are never shown to other members. Confirming identity and controlling visibility are two separate things — and both stay in your hands.

Verification is maintained, not granted once

Identity is confirmed at entry and monitored on an ongoing basis, with mandatory annual re-verification. A network holds its standard only if that standard holds over time. This is what keeps the environment reliable long after a member joins.

Common questions

Is financial information required for verification?

No. Identity verification is the baseline, and it does not require you to disclose financial information. Liquid asset verification applies only in two cases: when you carry out a transaction on Validus, or when you advance to a Standing that requires it. Where it applies, it supports activities such as investments, fundraising, and M&A — and allows you to generate a verified statement to share with third parties in a financial transaction.

Is my personal or financial information stored by Validus?

No. Verification is handled by independent third-party providers. Validus does not directly access or store your personal and financial data — it receives confirmation that you are verified, nothing more.

Can I use Validus without verifying?

No. Verification is the condition of access, applied to every member without exception. It is what allows others to trust that you are real, and you to trust the same of them.

Who performs the verification?

Independent, third-party providers used across regulated banking and finance, operating under their own security and compliance standards.

Can a verification decision be reviewed or appealed?

The verification process is independent and applied uniformly to every member. Its criteria are not disclosed, and verification outcomes are not subject to consultation, negotiation, or appeal. This protects the integrity of the standard for everyone.

What happens to my information if I leave?

When you delete your Validus profile, your associated data is deleted automatically. Any information that must be retained for legal or regulatory reasons is kept only as long as required, then securely removed — as set out in our Privacy Policy.
